e-Discovery Preservation

EFS follows e-Discovery Principals as described in the Sedona Canada e-Discovery document. In our modern world of electronic data, often it is confusing, time consuming and costly to attempt to gather or secure complete computer storage systems. The methods employed for e-discovery rely upon securing specific file or document types rather than complete computer disk storage systems. In Canada, it is not uncommon for those involved in Civil law suits to be so intimidated by the mystery of e-discovery and data collection that agreements are made to exclude the electronic data and only deal with printed or paper documents. While this may seem to be a solution, it can be extremely detrimental to a client’s case. For example, a printed document can only be examined from what is printed on the page, while an electronic document hides much more detail within.
